Dr. Bob Brewster

DVM

Though born in New York City, Dr. Brewster grew up mainly in Germany, and Georgia.  He graduated from  the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Georgia in 1988.  He’s practiced in North Carolina and  Tennessee but spent most of his veterinary career in Georgia where he first worked at Dekalb–Gwinnett Animal  Emergency Clinic in Tucker before starting up his first clinic in Athens.  After owning and operating two animal  hospitals for 30 years, Dr. Brewster sold his clinics and retired in 2020.  After several months of retirement, he  realized he really missed working with animals and people and was enticed back to veterinary medicine.

In his spare time, Dr. Brewster likes to read, garden, travel and spend time with his family – both human and fur  family.  For the last 30 years, Dr. Brewster and his wife have lived on a small farm where they raised their kids. For most of that time, they've shared that farm with llamas, goats and dogs.  He and his wife now especially enjoy  visiting their children, one of whom lives on the west coast and the other on the east coast.
